DK Custom Products has tested numerous aftermarket suspension components. We've logged well over 50,000 miles on a variety of bikes and trikes, covering an array of road condtions, loads and speeds. All this, while paying close attention to the ride quality with various suspension configurations.
You can view our full report on our testing of various suspension components at this LINK.
When you order you will be asked a few easy questions. Your answers give us the information needed to send you the correct springs for your bike/weight/riding preferences.
These Progressive Rate Fork Springs soak up the small road bumps, yet are firm enough to absorb the big ones.
Spring rates have been chosen to reduce front end "dive" during braking, yet still provide excellent ride comfort.
The benefit of this is that the spring can be soft enough at the start of the travel to offer a "plush" ride, yet be firm enough at the end of the travel to soak up the big bumps.
Fitment:
1983-Up Sportster Models
1993-Up Dyna Models
1984-Up Softail Models
2002-Up Touring Models
2009-Up Trike Models
All Trikes & 2014-Up Touring Models are an extra $12.95 (if you have one of these models, please check the box when ordering)
Trike Fitment Note: As with many parts for the Harley Trikes, some Dealerships and Manufacturers will say a part does not fit. This is because they have not tested it.
We have tested the Progressive Rate Springs on Harley Trikes.
You can ignore those (including Techs at Dealerships and Progressive Suspension) that say they do not fit or work correctly.
Not only do they fit the Tri Glide, the Freewheeler & the RG3, they also work very well.
It is not necessary to change the fork fluid when installing these springs. However, it will improve the ride quality. We recommend Maxima Racing Formula Fork Fluid.
Fork fluid is something you can get locally, or use the option to add it to your order.
Sportsters- 2 liters of 10 Weight
Dyna, Softail, Touring & Trikes- 2 liters of 15 weight
Important Note: If you are ordering fork fluid AND you add the Intiminators to your order, the special valving in them requires a specific weight of Fork Fluid for them to work properly. We will send either 5 weight or 10 weight, whichever is correct for your specific bike.
All suspension that is upgraded with springs will ride even better with the addition of the Intiminator Fork Valve System. You can read more on them HERE. You can see our grading of springs & other suspension components HERE.

" I like the feel of the Progressive Springs much better than the stock springs. I also like them better than the straight rate springs, that are a little stiffer. The plush ride is worth it for giving up a little bit of the road feel.
Coupled with the Intiminator Fork Valves, they are the best value for the $ on my Sportster & Softail!"-Kevin

Dive No Mo 1 people found this helpfulReplacing my front springs with Progressive springs and installing the Intiminators is the best suspension I have ever had on a bike. No more front-end diving and popping back up after starting back up from a stop.

Great front-end upgrade!! 2 people found this helpfulThe Progressive fork spring lowering kit, combined with DK's Intimidator fork valves made for the best front ride/handling I've ever had. Put them on my 2004 Roadking and am very pleased. Installation was easy and straightforward.

Huge upgrade for a 2018 FreeWheeler 3 people found this helpfulThis is a well thought out and executed product. If you want to take a FW up a few notches to where it should’ve come from the factory, install the comfort lift rear, progressive front springs with Intimidators. Adds safety and a much nicer riding experience. Thank you for all the great videos.

Outstanding 2 people found this helpfulBeen riding Harley’s for a while, also doing a lot of two up. These springs with the intimidators are great! Buy them now and don’t wait. Customer service with DK is bar none. I will be buying more parts for sure. Brake dive is gone!

Awesome ride and service 1 people found this helpfulAfter talking to DK about how bad the front suspension was they recommended Progressive std springs to meet my wants and were they right. I have purchased a number of products they sell and have not ever been disappointed. I wouldn’t hesitate buying from them at all.

The first Money spent on Front suspension 2 people found this helpfulPulled out the embarrassingly wimpy looking springs out of my 2020 Road King, and installed these. My thought is if you aren't going to install $1000+ cartilages, then you better start with these springs, and you dont really need to worry about reliability or durability of this mod. I also added the Intiminators.. the Front end is riding like it should now. Its a rather good investment
